This general musical education handbook was written to meet the need for a practicable and child-friendly method for the first year of music study. Every lesson starts with a simple tune that can be easily played on the recorder. The lessons gradually increase in difficulty. In each lesson the song and rhythm pieces are arranged from easy to average/difficult. This makes it possible to differentiate, and the book can be used for any class. There is a wide variety of musical styles and genres (from classical to pop). The emphasis lies firmly on playful learning with game-type exercises, without losing sight of the essential elements (singing correctly, performing the rhythms correctly). The lessons also cover the basics of musical theory with short exercises. At the end of each lesson there is a rhythm or dictation exercise. The book contains a total of 32 lessons and is illustrated with beautiful drawings.
