La Valse d'Amélie is a well-known waltz from the poetic French film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, which captured the hearts of many from its release in 2001 and thereafter. The soundtrack by Yann Tiersen won several awards, and more than 200,000 copies were sold in France alone.

In this arrangement, Bert Appermont has tried to preserve the melancholic and charming atmosphere of the original. The music begins serenely and builds toward a climax before gradually fading out again.
